Jim Carrick

CEO

Jim Carrick is the Chief Executive Officer of LPA. Prior to purchasing LPA in 2015, Jim has served as President and CEO of Polaris Library Systems and Strategic Computer Solutions (SCS). Before joining SCS, he spent 19 years at IBM in various sales and sales management positions. As CEO, Jim focuses on growing the company and ensuring the management team is empowered to follow its strategic direction. He serves on several boards including Crouse Hospital, The Boys and Girls Club and the Jim and Juli Boehiem Foundation. Jim has a B.S. degree from Stonehill College and an M.B.A. from Syracuse University.

Scott Hopkins

Scott Hopkins is the president of LPA. He has had an extensive career with IBM including numerous leadership positions such as Worldwide General Manager of Strategic Outsourcing, General Manager of the Industrial Sector, Vice President of IBM’s Distribution Sector and General Manager for IBM’s Product Lifecycle Management. While serving in these lead positions, Scott gained a full-range of knowledge in IBM capabilities and offerings from marketing, sales and operations perspectives. He received a M.E. in industrial and management engineering from the Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute and earned a B. S. in mechanical engineering at the RIT. Scott enjoys cycling, boating, skiing, coaching lacrosse, and spending time with family.

Kevin Bryans

Kevin Bryans is the Chief Financial Officer for LPA. Kevin is a licensed CPA in New York State, and has a B.S. in Accounting from SUNY Oswego. He has worked for over 25 years managing accounting, financial reporting, HR, IT and CRM solutions for both publicly and privately held companies in national and international markets. Kevin prides himself on a track record of successfully leading several business acquisitions and ownership transitions, all resulting in significant financial growth. In his spare time, Kevin serves on several boards for organizations such as County North Children’s Center, Child Care Solutions, IC Connect and Loretto Companies.

Betty Wall

VP Strategy and Marketing

Betty Wall is the Vice President of Strategy and Marketing for LPA. Prior to her work at LPA, Betty worked for IBM Corporation as a Client Executive and Cloud Computing Development Executive. Betty held many management roles in the sales and engineering organizations. As the VP of Business Development and Strategy, Betty’s role is to lead the strategy development as LPA continues its growth in Business Analytics, and assists as the company grows into new solution markets and new geographies. Betty is a Professional Engineer (PE) in New York State. She received her B.S in Engineering from Clarkson University and completed the IBM Certification Executive MBA program with Harvard Business School.

Don Ponge

VP Business Development

Don Ponge is the Vice President of Business Development for LPA. Don has worked as a Consultative Sales professional for both IBM and IBM Business Partners where he has assisted clients in developing solutions that included multiple manufacturers hardware, software, and services technologies. Additionally, Don has a diversified background in Engineering, Quality Management, and Operations in the Global Electronics Industry. Don is a Professional Engineer and received a B.S. in Mechanical Engineering from Clarkson University and a M.E. in Electrical Engineering from Cornell University.
