Mario Caro, MAI, AI-GRS, SR/WA (LPA San Antonio): Mario has been elected as 2024 Third Director, Region VIII of The Appraisal Institute.

Noah Henley (LPA Dallas): Noah achieved a significant milestone by receiving his state certification.

Jonathan Millan (LPA El Paso): Jonathan has been promoted to Director.

Sheridan Shallene (LPA Lubbock): Sheridan achieved a significant milestone by receiving her state certification.

Will Snider, MAI, SR/WA, R/W-AC (LPA Fort Worth): Will has been promoted to Managing Director.

A dozen LPA appraisers have demonstrated the wide range of expertise and met the high standards required to earn the Appraisal Institute’s MAI designation. We’re thrilled to share that LPA Dallas Managing Director has joined their ranks.

Ellen follows Chellie Hoover, Managing Director of LPA El Paso, as the second woman in our organization to achieve our profession’s most esteemed designation. Ellen started her professional journey at LPA in 2018 while participating in our Summer Intern program and rose to an Associate position just six months later. She’s continued to advance rapidly in her career by showing an unwavering commitment to ethical conduct, transparent communication, accurate reporting, and always on-time delivery.

Thank you, Ellen, for all your hard work on behalf of our clients and colleagues. We couldn’t be more excited to celebrate this incredible accomplishment with you. Congratulations!

Congratulations to LPA Houston Managing Director Kevin Rushing, MAI, on earning his MAI designation from the Appraisal Institute!

Kevin joined our Team as an Associate in 2018. From the start, he dedicated himself to growing his expertise and honing his skills. He’s since earned several promotions and has become one of our firm’s key leaders.

We couldn’t be more excited for and proud of Kevin for completing the equivalent of a Ph.D. program in commercial real estate, all while staying in constant contact with his clients, creating appraisal reports full of accurate data and actionable business intelligence, and ensuring those that those reports are delivered on-time every time.

LPA is growing again — and, this time, we’re branching out into new territory!

We’re excited to share that we will begin serving clients in Denver, Colorado later this summer. This new LPA office will be a seamless extension of our presence in Texas, Oklahoma, and New Mexico, adhering to the same policies, procedures, consistent formatting, and timeliness you’ve come to expect from LPA.

This expansion comes partly by popular demand, as many of our clients have requested that we bring our commercial real estate valuation expertise to the Mountain West. We couldn’t be more excited to seize this opportunity to do so, and we look forward to expanding our reputation for excellent quality and service to The Centennial State.

At LPA, we encourage and support our commercial real estate valuation experts’ continuing education and professional development. So we’re especially excited to announce that Andy McLain, Senior Managing Director of LPA Fort Worth, has been elected the 2023 Board President of the Central Texas Chapter of the Appraisal Institute. 

The Appraisal Institute is a global professional association of real estate appraisers. Its more than 16,000 members live and practice in almost 50 countries. The Institute’s mission is to empower valuation professionals through community, credentialing, education, a constantly growing body of knowledge, and ethical standards.

As one of 66 chartered Appraisal Institute Chapters, the group Andy will be leading supports this mission via a variety of initiatives. Those initiatives include networking events and educational programs, such as the chapter’s regular General Business Luncheons, as well as volunteer activities.

Joining Andy on the Central Texas Chapter Board are two fellow LPA Fort Worth Team members: Directors Shane McCarty and Will Snider.

We’re thrilled to introduce you to the LPA EntreLeadership Class of 2022! Next week, this group will be traveling to Orlando, FL, to participate in the EntreLeadership Summit to take a deeper dive into the management principles that have helped fuel our firm’s rapid growth. In fact, LPA team members have been attending Summits and other EntreLeadership events since 2010.

Will serves as a Director for LPA and has performed valuation and consulting services across the State of Texas on various properties including, but not limited to:

  • Office.
  • Retail.
  • Industrial.
  • Agricultural.
  • Mixed-use developments.
  • Restaurants.
  • Hospitality (hotel/motel).
  • Multifamily (apartments).
  • Vacant land and other types of special use commercial properties.
  • Partial acquisitions.
  • Properties subject to eminent domain/condemnation.

Will’s experience in appraisal for right-of-way acquisition purposes includes projects for The Texas Department of Transportation (TxDOT), the Trinity River Authority, local municipalities, pipeline companies, and other agencies.

Before joining LPA in June 2021, Will served as Senior Vice President for JLL Valuation Advisory at its Fort Worth office.
